About the Position
The Stanfield School District is seeking a superintendent/principal to replace Wayne Kostur who has served as the interim during the past year. Kostur is a PERS retiree and while the board was very pleased with his accomplishments, he is not eligible to work in a county the size of Umatilla. Kostur, in turn, replaced Kevin Headings who took a new position in the Hermiston School District.
The board is interested in a candidate who will make a long-term commitment to the district and its programs. Candidates will be expected to share their short and long-term goals with the board.
Application Procedures/Timelines/Compensation
The current salary schedule with three steps calls for $95,370 the first year, $102,957 the second year, and $108,376 the third year plus an attractive benefits package. The district does not pay the PERS contribution. The contract length is negotiable. Applications are due February 22, 2014, however the district retains the option of accepting applications until the position is filled.
