Working Conditions: Frequent statewide travel, occasional evening and weekend work, and a minimum of 10 extended contract days during the summer. Frequent presentations requiring the ability to stand for long periods and speak. Must have own car to provide transportation from location to location on a frequent basis.

Job Goal:
As a member of the OrRTI project, the successful applicant will provide training, technical assistance, and coaching to school districts participating in the OrRTI project. The goal of this support is to develop district leadership capacity for implementing and sustaining successful RTI systems. This work will be guided by the OrRTI Service Delivery Model that outlines a system designed to meet the needs of all learners and establishes a framework for SLD decision-making.

The Implementation Coach’s primary areas of work include:
1. Supporting districts with the implementation of RTI systems, through consultation and on-site coaching,
2. Organizing and presenting at conferences and trainings hosted by OrRTI and other agencies,
3. Organizing and hosting Lab School visits, and
4. Creating materials that enhance the project infrastructure and training capacity.

Qualifications/Demonstrated Expertise:

5 or more years experience as classroom teacher, instructional coach, special education teacher, school psychologist or English Language Learner specialist, preferably within a setting using an RTI model of service delivery
Current Oregon License – Work experience more important than specific license or endorsement.
Extensive knowledge of RTI and Multi-tiered Systems of Support
Strong background in identification of learning disabilities
Strong background in school/district wide systems such as Positive Behavior Support
Expertise in curriculum and instruction, particularly in the areas of reading and math
Professional development and team facilitation skills
Collection, analysis and use of data for decision-making
Planning, developing and evaluating programs
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with individuals, teams and groups
Problem-solving and action planning skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with OrRTI team members
Expertise in English Language Learners

Performance Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the OrRTI Director, Implementation Coaches, and support staff to maintain consistency of service delivery practices, fidelity of implementation of the OrRTI model, and clarity of message.
Train, coach and support districts with the implementation Response to Intervention systems as defined in the OrRTI Service Delivery Model. Specific RTI components include, but are not limited to:
Core curriculum and instructional practices
Comprehensive assessment systems, decision rules, and teaming structures using data-based decision-making for screening, progress monitoring, and SLD eligibility determinations
Research-based interventions
Effective leadership practices
Provide on-site professional development training to staff
Work with District Leadership Teams to build a sustainable infrastructure based on the principles of implementation science
Assist with the planning, organization, and hosting of complex statewide trainings
Conduct presentations and other professional development activities with a high level of professional rigor
Respond to ongoing requests for information, guidance, and support via email, telephone, and site visits
Maintain open and direct communication with district representatives toward project goals
Maintain excellent, detailed records of project activities, such as site visits, assessments, and implementation documentation.
Development and support OrRTI Lab Schools, including training, facilitation of site visits, and development of materials
Assist with various OrRTI projects, such as, but not limited to, training videos, operating plans, support materials, webinars, and website development
Other duties as assigned
