Tigard-Tualatin School District seeks its next HR Leader

Tigard Tualatin School District seeks an experienced human resources leader to guide and manage an exceptional team. The Director of Human Resources is a key member of the District’s leadership team who reports directly to the Superintendent and who leads strategic initiatives focused on attracting, hiring, supporting, and retaining student-centered, racially, linguistically and culturally diverse employees. We seek a visionary, strategic, equity-focused and empathetic leader who understands the impact HR can make in cultivating talent and creating a thriving workplace culture. This includes systematic staff training, a strong mentoring program, and a focus on a comprehensive staff wellness program in support of the district’s commitment to equitable educational outcomes. The 5th largest district in the greater Portland metropolitan area, we serve more than 12,000 students in 11 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 2 comprehensive high schools, an online academy, and an alternative high school - TTSD is large enough to provide a comprehensive academic program and small enough to maintain close connections to staff, students, parents, and the community.

The growing communities of Tigard, Tualatin, Durham, Metzger and King City make up Tigard-Tualatin School District. Located next to the city of Portland, the district offers the benefits of suburban living within a vibrant metropolitan area. It is 90 minutes from the Oregon coast and an hour's drive to Mt. Hood. There is convenient access to the region's vast recreational, cultural, and educational resources. These communities are family-orientated and engaged in the life of the schools.

If you’re mission driven, inspired by the opportunity to make a difference, and are excited about working with a dynamic team and for an organization that serves the needs of students of all backgrounds, please explore this opportunity. Our successful candidate will bring:

-At least 5 years’ experience in human resources management, with experience in the educational environment preferred
-A bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, public administration or a related field, and professional HR certification (pHCLE, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP)
-Broad knowledge and comprehensive experience in the areas of employment law administration, benefits and compensation, collective bargaining, employee relations and training

For first consideration, please apply by Monday, February 6 at 12:00 pm Pacific time at www.humancapitalenterprises.com under “Current Opportunities”.
