Newberg D Public Schools is seeking a Behavioral Health Special Education Coordinator.undee This individual will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and supporting the delivery of comprehensive behavioral health and special education services for students with diverse needs. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., IDEA, Section 504), promotes inclusive practices, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support the academic, behavioral, emotional, and social development of students and provides oversight of the school-based health center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Licensure:
• Valid Oregon Administrative License and valid Oregon license with Special Education or related field endorsement (e.g. LCSW, BCBA, School Psychologist credential).
Knowledge and Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years in special education, behavioral health, or related roles in a public school setting.
• Knowledge of Special Education laws and regulations
• Knowledge of behavioral assessments (e.g. FBA) intervention planning, and crisis response.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Eleven Month 223 day contract period, salary based on experience. Salary range TBD (2024-2025 salary range $114,861 - $130,857).
