Position Purpose
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of Winchester Elementary School. The Principal provides strategic leadership in advancing strong systems, fostering positive school culture, and ensuring high-quality instruction for all students. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to build on existing strengths while enhancing consistency, communication, and schoolwide systems.

Essential Functions
• Develop and administer school programs consistent with district goals.
• Supervise and evaluate certified and classified staff.
• Manage school operations and budget in accordance with district policy.
• Coordinate curriculum implementation and instructional improvement.
• Ensure implementation of Board policies and administrative procedures.
• Serve as liaison among staff, students, families, and the community.
Qualifications
Required:
• Valid Oregon Administrative License
• Demonstrated successful elementary administrative experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience building and sustaining effective schoolwide systems
Preferred:
• Experience in high-needs or trauma-impacted school settings
• Demonstrated long-term leadership commitment
• Proven ability to positively impact school culture and climate
Successful candidates must pass criminal history and drug screen clearances in accordance with Oregon Statutes and District Policies.
