Rachel Aazzerah, Reynolds SD, Honored with 2026 OACOA Achievement of Excellence Award

Salem, Oregon – The Oregon Association of Central Office Administrators (OACOA), a branch of the Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA), is proud to announce that Rachel Aazzerah has been named the recipient of the 2026 OACOA Achievement of Excellence Award. Aazzerah, Director of Assessment and Systems Improvement for Reynolds School District, was recognized for her extraordinary leadership, deep commitment to equity, and lasting impact on student achievement through systems-level improvement work.

Clatskanie, OR – The Oregon Small Schools Association (OSSA) is proud to announce that Kayleen Jones has been named its 2025-26 Teacher of the Year. Kayleen is a teacher at Clatskanie Middle High School, part of the Clatskanie School District, located in Clatskanie Oregon, in Columbia County.

COSA Names Jon Martz 2026 Oregon High School Principal of the Year

Salem, Oregon- The Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA), a subset of Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA), has named Jon Martz, principal of Sutherlin High School in the Sutherlin School District, as the 2026 Oregon High School Principal of the Year. The announcement was made Wednesday evening via Zoom by COSA Executive Director Dr. Krista Parent.

Salem Keizer’s Robin Buckingham 2026 Oregon Middle School Principal of the Year

Salem, Oregon- The Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators, a subset of the Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA), has named Robin Buckingham, principal of Claggett Creek Middle School in Salem-Keizer Public Schools, as a 2026 Oregon Middle School Principal of the Year. COSA Executive Director Dr. Krista Parent surprised Buckingham with the announcement during a school visit on Friday, December 19.

Tigard Tualatin Assistant Principal Awarded 2026 Assistant Principal of the Year

Salem, Oregon- The Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators (OASSA), a subset of the Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA) has named Brooke Mayo, assistant principal at Tualatin High School in the Tigard-Tualatin School District, as a 2026 Oregon Assistant Principal of the Year. COSA Executive Director Dr. Krista Parent surprised Mayo with the announcement during a school visit on Friday, December 19.

Umatilla Superintendent Heidi Sipe Awarded 2025 Colt Gill Leadership Award for Impactful Statewide Leadership
