Pre-service teachers, college of education professors, supervisors, teachers and administrators are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Major Sponsors: Coalition of Oregon School Administrators, Oregon Education Association, Western Oregon University Student Chapter of ASCD and Oregon ASCD 

Educators from across the state will present sessions on important topics such as: 

• Survival skills for the first year of teaching
• What principals are looking for in a new teacher candidate (elementary and secondary sessions)
• Sped Resources
• Trauma Informed Practices
• Job Fair
• Wellness for the first year teacher 

Schedule:

• 8:15 to 8:45 - Registration (outside the Pacific Room, Werner University Center)
• 9:00 to 9:25 - Welcome and Opening Speakers
• 9:30 to 10:30 - Breakout Sessions – Round I (6 choices)
• 10:45 to 11:45 - Breakout Sessions – Round II (6 choices)
• 12:00 to 1:00 - Lunch and opportunity to visit school district tables / Keynote
• 1:15 to 2:15 - Breakout Sessions—Round III (6 choices)
• 2:15 pm to 3:00 - Opportunity to meet with visiting districts
